A very nice addition Walter, well done!
-
Ah yes… I have a few “birthday engines” 😂
-
Thanks to all replies and yes Brent, I did see your reply on that forum; thank you.
And I think that I know where you are coming from @Nick , fortunately my finger snapper just bought some artwork for the lounge so I had some bargaining power up my sleeve and my birthday just passed.

Well done Walter!! My BIN finger would have been broken too, but not by me 😂 😂
-
Walter, I responded to your post in the "other" forum--it's model no. 174 from the late 1890s.

Wow - very nice and rare. The Carette fly wheels are so nice.
Not too expensive for this beauty and a very good state - only
a little miss of sheet metal on the rear. I wood leave it with
the patina. Congrats, Arnold :D
Age? maybe good before 1900

Hello Charlie,
you are also lucky to have this machine. Just great these Carette steam engines.
-
A wonderful Carette engine at a very fair price.
It is similar to one in my collection.

I admire your commitment. I just briefly thought of starting a collection for you among the forum members. I am already interested in you staying with us.😂😂
-
Thanks Jürgen, Yes I think quite rare though Brent has one I have seen; now I am in the poor house.....
-
A little beauty. At the same time a rarity.
Congratulations on your purchase.
You don't often get the opportunity to make a purchase like this.

I nearly broke my finger on the BIN button.
