Yes,  Stoker did a really good write up on the history of the PM research Stirling #1 and its predecessors which I found very informative.

I think he has it that the Davies Charlton was the 1st of this design back in the 50's.

What I find somewhat interesting is the US importer was in Columbus, Ohio and the author of the book that accompanied the later engines from Solar Engines was also in Columbus, Ohio.  Wonder if there was a connection there?

Neat engine , this has to be the precursor to the PM research #1 solar engine , they look really identical.

I was high bidder on this Davis Charlton Hot Air Engine at a Local Auction here in Minnesota.

I picked it up a little earlier today, and made an unboxing, inspection and test run Video.

I have read through the threads here concerning this engine, including all the great information by Stoker, but they all seem to have ended in Sept 2020.

I am very happy with this engine.  Still undecided on repainting the base back to original color.
