My son is currenty on a paddle steam boat in Switzerland. He sent me pictures of the ship,s engine. Your model is as impressive as the real thing.

If you like to make a virtuel walk around our steamship "Hohentwiel" (Lake of Constance)
you may click:

There are many others on all lakes in Switzerland - to you know on which one your son is?
Greetings, Arnold

Arnold,
Yeah I figured that out after I posted, then tried to delete my post but couldn't figure out how. And after studying the suburb workmanship
on the original by Lothar Matrian I can see it is on a much much higher level then the PSE.
The engines that you are posting made by Lothar are fantastic.
Thank You.

Very nice, and very similar to the Polish steam engine gothic beam.

A person could easily add the paddle wheels to the PSE offering.
Sorry Jim, No way - you cannot mount a paddle wheel because the crank pins are on the outside
and the complexity is another league too.
-
Very interesting engine!
I can understand very well that you don't want to steam it.

Congratulations on your latest acquisition from sunny Brittany. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen such a pearl here.

This is the second engine that I could grab at the online auction.
A very fine and detailed model made from cast parts by Lothar Matrian, Germany.
It is very difficult to build cause the space and many small parts.
It runs fine on compressed air - I won't let it run on steam - to much work
to clean it up.
Enjoy Arnold ;D
