Every year, we come together on November 11 to celebrate our nation’s veterans and honor their patriotism, courage and service. Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize the selflessness and sacrifices of all members of the Armed Forces past and present, with particularly solemn respect reserved for the captured, the missing and the fallen.
Since our country’s founding, America’s fighting forces have worked tirelessly to spread the cause of liberty to all corners of the world.
As this newest generation of American heroes return to US soil, just as generations before them did, our obligation is to show them the appreciation of a grateful nation in every way possible. Their love of country, and their willingness to put themselves in harm’s way to create, support, and protect the blanket of freedom we live under deserves and commands our respect. I’m grateful to be part of a country that recognizes our shared debt.
Please join me in offering our most heartfelt thanks to our veterans and those of other nations who fought alongside us.
Stay safe and healthy,
Gil
