Thanks Doug , & good question...my wife says I spend all my free time playing pickleball...lol , I work 10-12 hrs. A day , & when I'm not doing those 2 things I "tinker" out in the shop 😊👍
The fence on this plant did take me about 10 hrs. To do , I don't expect you'll be seeing that again anytime soon 😄

here were have a modified #75ELBB
this features a handmade Solid Brass fence, roller ball bearings installed in the axle , refurbished firebox & chimney stand with VHT "burnt copper" paint , a variac installed in the chimney support (2K watt) with special SPS brass radial gauge, a 550 watt immersion cartridge heater installed in the boiler so now its a "dual" fuel. the fence is the focal point of this build , it is 100% brass , all bases were lathe turned & 4 countersunk screw holes in each base , the post are 3/16"" x 40tpi and the 3/8" brass balls are 8-32 thread. it has roller ball bearings installed in the stanchions. it has brass ball bearing faux governor balls. all on a 3/4" plinth stained Red oak.
