The only Carette reprint I'm aware of is "The Great Toys of George Carette" (1911) which sometimes shows up on Ebay. There are also several for Bing and a whole series of books (catalog reprints) on Marklin toys and trains.

What catalogs are you looking for? Many of the German ones are reprints published over 30 years ago and are now out-of-print. That said they can often be found on Ebay if you keep looking. The Schiffmann series is probably the best for German engines (2005 I think, but no accessories) and may still be available in Germany (?).
Hi Brent, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for...but the Schiffmann series sounds like a good start  :) I guess I'm just interested in finding what you folks use when referencing things.
