That is the selling price - $750. Starting prices are meaningless other
than as an indication of buyer interest. Only one sale.

Look at the sale dates in my screenshots 😉
I missed it the first time it sold cheap and watched it re-sell yesterday with the same picture

Agree Thomas - the cylinder, flywheels and also the boiler are 99% Bischoff parts.
Anyway a nice object to have, Arnold

How very interesting! Thanks for all the information. The cylinders remind me of Bischoff engines...

The brand name is actually Scheuer MB
Scheuer Maschinenbau
Richerstraße 18
64823 Groß-Umstadt
Germany
http://www.scheuermb.de/
The founder/owner was GW Scheuer's father.
It was GW that I bought a Stuart Beam from.
His father was not really a known manufacturer but a skilled hobbyist who took pride in his creations and often affixed his name to them.
I am adding a very small lower quality photo and screenshot from an ebay auction in 2003 where this steam plant got just one bid at the start price of 2,500 Euro. I missed a sniping bid due to ebay's and my office's internet lag back in the day.

Neat engines...never heard of this brand. The one you missed on Ebay went very inexpensively.

Very interesting...
Think this is the first time i´ve heard about the Scheuer brand, looking forward to see your pics as well Gil.

Somewhere I have pictures somewhere of an amazing cross compound poppet valve steam by Scheuer. I missed iy by just a hair due to internet delay while bidding on German ebay on my office work station back in 2002 or 2003. The delay was enough that I entered my sniper bid after the auction had ended. His son G W Scheuer was selling some of his stuff. I got my first Stuart Beam from him. In addition to buiding model steam, he ownd a sheet metal fabricating company. I will try to find the pictures.

The only other Scheuer pictures I have saved are these from 2014
