Sorry, the previous posted was uploaded accidentally before I had finished...

You see, the letters are the same as in Arnold's posting. This base also is of a rather lightweight material and it clearly shows Wilhelm Bischoff genes.

I also found this here:

So, a number two - but of what??

At the moment, I am preparing the whole EPD "D1" for a test run and I am going to present it and the video (hopefully) in a different thread.

Thomas

So, here we are with some more details of my Bischoff/Pässler:

[attachimg=1]

I detached the steam-pipe and the screws from the base and lifted it off. The cylinder cover is a later addition (in the older photos I posted before you can see what it looks like underneath). One oiler-cup has broken off (the one on the bearing close to the flywheel). It is still there, but the previous owner has tried to glue it to the base...

That's what you see underneath:

Nice Bischoff engines, gentlemen. I have had a couple Bischoff engines over the years.

Thomas - Thank you for your informations - I was pretty sure
that you are the MAN! It is exactly the same. Some small parts
are different - but that was probably made by a hobbyist.
Have you looked already under the machine base? Wilhelm Bischof
produced in cast iron and Eberhard Pässler in light metal.
Greetings over the lake, Arnold :D
Nice plant you have and I will be happy to see it run under steam.

Arnold, just because I am curious:

Flywheel 11,6cm ø
Front cylinder cover 3,5cm ø
Cast crosshead guard 6,3cm long
Bas 6,5cm x 18,5cm

All measurements approx.

Does this match your engine?

...and here the promised photos:

Funny enough, I had planned to steam this engine soon and present it with more detailed photos the next days...

Arnold, that is most definitely a Wilhelm Bischoff, Dresden (this would also match the letters on the underside).

I own an East German "EPD" (Eb. Pässler, Dresden) engine, a photo will follow, with an identical engine, but I am convinced that they (after WWII) either used Bischoff engines, or parts or Bischoff tools.

Does anyone know this steam engine -
I only found the information on the bottom side: WB P 1/20
could it be Wilhelm Bischoff's successor Paessler ??
It is mainly made of light metal.
I would be very happy to receive any information
Arnold  ;)
