Arnold, at the first look I also thought it could be a PLANK 160/1 or /2 IDEAL, like your LEIPZIGER, but the mounting points where the cylinder and flywheel once was fixed are different, the bolts are still there and 100% compatible with the SCHOENNER 101/2...
I'm not shure if I will ever let it run on steam, but after replacing all seals I will soon try it on compressed air... ::)

Thats a nice Combo - I like very much the Arcatus Base -
I have a very similar engine from Leipziger Lehrmittelanstalt "Phaenomen"
You may check in our forum: Sweet little Vertical from Leipziger Lehrmittel-Anstalt
Did you already made a steam test?
Thanks for showing us, Arnold

Great work Rainer, another one saved 😊👍

I like your work. For now, you have made the best of the existing components.

Had to interrupt my work on the BENGS eccentric press because a SCHOENNER 101/2 steam engine unexpectedly jumped into my car on a purely coincidental trip through Cologne and begged for asylum ... 😱

The poor thing had been through a lot in its 120-year life...

Her piggyback drive was removed from her and instead an English SEL 1550 MAJOR double unit with BISCHOFF transmission was put to her side and the flood of the Rhine in the cellar basement had not only destroyed her floor slab...

After dismantling, derusting, bulging and cleaning tons of candle wax, soot and superfluous solder, it can now rest on its original tile floor again and maybe one day a more suitable steam cylinder will be found ... ;)
