I always have good luck with a little heat. Be careful of any wooden or plastic handles.

Thanks for the replies and advice.
I was able to remove the throttle valve, soak it in
PB Blaster, heat it up in the oven, fuss with it and
got it to budge just a smidge. I knew I had it. A
bit more careful fussing, back and forth, and it came
free. Of course, I put it back and tested the engine
on air and it ran, smooth as silk, in a heartbeat.
It even runs on my 69 year-old breath power.
I'm ordering a steamdome with weighted S/V and a filler
plug from Germany. Worth every penny for an engine that runs.
For fun, and a first steamup, I will be using an S/V from a
Bing engine. Video soon.

I always steam the engine first - and when it gets hot
the fittings usually come free.
And you can also treat them carefully with household lime remover.

Take it very slowly. And don't force it.
Keep spraying a little more penetrating oil on the stuck parts every day for at least a week.

Patience, no PATIENCE, PAAATIENCE for .... sake (insert: the well-being of the engine and its owner, of course!) is essential.
Sometimes a little heat and/or a soft tap with a small hammer might help as well. After the soaking.
And try to understand first where exactly a little force should be applied and how - I think that most broken off handles of such engines are simple due to the fact they come so handy....

Thanks Gil. I'll soon put up a video of the electric DOLL running.
It's a screamer in spite of boiler leaks underneath. The heater
setup is a bit over complicated and is probably the cause of the
leak. Any info re model type/number and production years would be
appreciated.
Your suggestion to loosen the stuck valves on the bigger DOLL rings
true. Mostly, I need to be.....patient. Info on model# and production
dates would help.

Nice lot you got, Wayne!
The electric Doll (Weeden clone) is pretty rare.
Just keep soaking the stuck parts with penetrants for at least a week..
Try Liquid Wrench or one of the other super penetrants.
Then try to move them back and forth a little at a time.

I received my engines from Morphy's Auctions - I'm shocked.
The small DOLL, a Weeden clone, is electric and I've run it
on air. The big one is a bit of a sticky wicket.
Anyway, I've added a photo. The question I have regards the
stuck valves. The valve on the cylinder head and the water
ram turn as intended. The whistle, throttle, drain tap and
water fill tap on the boiler will not turn. I soaked them a
bit with WD-40 and will do so again over the next few days.
Is there anything else I should try?
