What a beautiful engine. I had no idea Märklin built working centrifugal governors.

Wonderful engine, in  surprisingly good shape.

A benchmark product from the Märklin line.

Is this the one with the working governor?

Best regards

Thomas

Yes Thomas, the steam valve seats under the governor - and it really works well.
I like the patina and originality of this engine best. As I already mentioned it has
some scratches and signs of use - but that is always better than new color!

Merry Christmas and a happy new Year to ALL on the OoS Forum.
These days are a good opportunity to run the old steam engines - My choice
was the Maerklin Ships engine 4147/11/94 - all original - with
the nice Generator. Some signs of use are okay after 100 years...
Enjoy, Arnold ;D
