Glad you got it going, now it’s time for the next project  :D

I have a few engines like this and I have to offset the burner so the flame hits the bottom and goes up the side to get a little more heat.

Nick, after your visit, I got to thinking about it. I figured if it would run sitting on my vise and heating with the propane torch, then it should run with an alcohol burner.  I put a new wick in and left it long to get more heat to the doorknob.  Worked fine 😁

Running like a scalded cat!  :D  I see you have a lot of wick out, did it just need more heat to get going?
