Excellent photos!!!

I really appreciated seeing you and the boys in person, Nick, after all these years. It was fun showing you my little collection and the railroad layouts in their present iteration. Also glad you liked the Huber museum which is first class but little known in general.
Yes, it was great to finally meet after years on the forums! I forgot to mention that I got to meet Maggie too! ;D

I plan to spend a day in Plano visiting with him if he is up for it.

Looks like a great time with the kids Nick.
2200 miles and 3 nights of camping! :D Took them to lots of playgrounds, a fossil gorge, and a tractor show along with this museum
They gotta' great Dad !

Lots of great pictures of the museum and the munchkins. Really extensive,
it looks like they have it all. Makes me think of the old farm machinery
put out to pasture when worn out working the mid-Hudson valley farms where
I grew up.
A slight coinkydink...I have a steam engine/boiler combo made by J Huber
in September 1926. Do you think the museum would be able to tell me if
this was a family member? The seller of the engine was on the West coast.
Good Times,
Wayne
Edward Huber was long gone by that time and originally from Indiana, so probably not any close relation if any at all. The workers were elderly volunteers and the whole time I was there the one was listening to a couple dozen messages on the answering machine (they are only there for 3 hours on Saturday) so you likely wouldn’t have much luck contacting them…
Nick,
Looks like a really fun trip and a great collection of Huber machinery.
I will be heading down to Texas next week. Hopefully get to see a collection or two along the way. 😁

And finally, something to look at while sitting on the toilet 😂
We didn’t ask if we could tour the women’s room 😂

Had a great visit this past weekend with both Larry and Bruce, would have loved to stay at either longer for a steam up but had to keep the kids on the move… Thank you again Larry and Bruce, and a huge Thank You to their wives for keeping the kids busy :D Larry has posted his railway on the forum, and it’s far more impressive in person 8) His steam room is also very clean and well organized 8) Then off to Bruce’s, what a cool shop to walk into!! Both Sipp’s ticking over, no he didn’t send one home with me ;) :D When leaving Larry’s I made a stop at the Huber Machinery Museum in Marion, OH. Wasn’t expecting so many Hubers and for a free museum it’s far better than most that I’ve paid admission to. They are only open 1-4 on Saturdays, so we were lucky it worked out with the visit.
