Way too high. You know when to fold em.
-
The price is too high based on the condition.
-
A neat engine; but a very high price for the condition.
-
Unfortunately I lost the auction. There was
one bidder from Germany and one from western
Switzerland (close to the seller - approx. 10 miles)
I suspect that this is a friend
of the seller and so drove up the price for him.
The price went to US$ 772.00 plus shipping.
If it were category 1 or 2 okay - but this
one was 4 - wrong stack and burner - no more
color on the platform and the engine covered
with silver for stoves, the whistle missing
and the steam line desoldered. The size is only
about 12 x 12", Again - too much money and work/rust
also if it is seldom
Price for cat.1 Schiffman is about 1000
(it is finally sold to Germany)

I said this before and now looking at it again, I'll bet the front larger
cylinder is fake. There is only a steam chest slide valve on the rear and
smaller cylinder. If it stays close to that price, if I were you, I would
go for it. There is a lot of good stuff there to use Arnold.
-
A very rare find indeed.
Best of luck!

Seldom seen "tandem compound" although I think it actually has only one working cylinder. Yes, you should go for it, but if you don't, please let me know!
-
Interesting, never seen one like it. I wonder if the front cylinder is just for looks.
Looks like fake valves on both of them. The price is low enough to to take a gamble.
-
Have seen this model with 2 cylinder in a row -
don't know the model and value. It also has
a lever for direction? Some parts missing like
whistle, chimney crown and a lot of rust.
Platform has no more color or is it a replacement?
Action runs till April 7th - price now $ 190.00
Shall I go for it???
