In the Stuart design, the pulley is inside the gearbox and to change the belt, one has to take the gearbox apart. My pulley will be on the outside of the gearbox. Easy to get to.
A sensible modification Brad, just as I like to do things.
Bruce:
Do you have a Stuart Pump Jack?
Charlie
No , I've never had one, but I knew Scott did & I always liked it, hope to get one some day.
I don't know what happened to Scott's Pump Jack.
It was not in his collection when I was helping his widow liquidate his collection.

I've always loved the Stuart oil field pump jack, nice work so far.

I finished the gear reducer for my Stuart oil field pump jack. Much changed from the Stuart design. I think much better.
