Doug, what is the size, electrical requirement of the motor powering this? I would consider such a build if I could power it off my Jensen 51 replica 12 volt DC output.
thanks and fantastic job of building it...I have built smaller marble run, but it cranks by hand.
Roger
It is small 6v motor running off 4aa batteries. It would be hard to install a different motor, but easy to reduce your 12v to 6.

Doug:
How long do you think it took to build it?
It's really cool.
Charlie
I would guess about 20hrs. Took a week in my spare time.

I came close to buying one of the big ones about three years ago. Somehow I got sidetracked, built a wooden gear clock instead. Then a wooden combination lock, rack gear, four bolt miniature bank safe/sorting coin bank, from scratch. Then engines, and water pumps, and more engines….. never did get around to the marble run.
I read so many bad reviews about the clock kits, but I may look into some other options.

That's an amazing marble run. 700 pieces, precut I hope.
It's nice because it has a rhythm to it.

I thought I would try another one of the Wood Trick marble run puzzles. This one had 700 pieces and came as a motorized unit. It took a little while to build, but it's run to watch, and especially when you can play it back in slow motion.
