The thing about this that really ticked me off was that PayPal allowed something they knew to be fraudulent to be posted on my account - so much for their security! Coincidence or not my main credit card was hacked Friday (not connected to the PayPal problem) with the bank disallowing two false charges but allowing the third one to go through in that order, all from the same person. Now I've got to go through with filing a bunch of paperwork and getting a new number - hasn't been a good few days.

Thanks Larry , I rarely buy from Ebay anymore. But did get a notice (fraudulently) from Amazon saying we had bought $4000 worth of TV and such in an Email that got Ang upset, I told her to ignore it and not respond, they wanted us to call a phone number and proceed from there. They're just fishing for profit.

Thanks for the heads up Larry!

Just had a fraudulent invoice show up on my PayPal account with an accompanying message supposedly from PayPal saying that they thought it was fraudulent and a phone number to call to deal with the problem. When I called it they wanted my personal info to identify myself, which I didn't give, then told me to call another number for whatever reason. The real PayPal who I called from their website info acknowledges that they know what's going on and are going to stop it but they still let it be posted as legit and just apologized for posting known fraudulent material on my account. Sad that you can't even believe what shows up on your account on their website! Be vigilant!
