I'm rather confident that yours will arrive Nick, and pretty soon, as it is already on this continent as reported by a reliable source.
Mine on the other hand is just in limbo (likely awaiting production), lost in the mists of the mysterious Orient as yet.
-
this is really unfortunate you fella's are having so much trouble , I think they are using these engines for generator back up for the navigational equipment & they keep having to fill that cussed little fuel tank.
Haha it's our own fault for trying to save a buck and not buying from reliable sellers... If mine arrives, it will be $295 all in after shipping. I've only been waiting 9 days since purchase and 4 since shipment and my original estimated delivery was Wed, Apr 24 - Mon, May 06

ps...Stoker, perhaps that 8 day long plane flight is running on naphtha drained from a gazillion hit and miss enroute to the US
Yep Rog ... I am a bit worried that they may be using my eachine engine as auxiliary power on this long slow flight.
Could this be the original "slow plane from China"?
Actually, my best guess is they are still awaiting delivery of the next production batch from the actual source, having sold me an engine that they did not really have in stock at the time. They're claiming to have already shipped it is just a ploy to keep me hopeful, so that I don't cancel my order. Unless a deal comes up that I can snag for sure, I'll let this one ride, as I believe the next batch production deliveries are likely scheduled for later this month (I hope ... maybe), but I obviously don't know for sure.

Well, my Karsten accessory was supposed to be here April 12...2 days ago, but no joy, no nothing...seems to have spent a heck of a lot of time in New York...maybe keeping Nick's engine company.

Sounds like your's has made the big jump Nick ... now it just has to make it to the upper midwest and to you!
Mine is still on that same airplane over eight days later, headed from China to the US. That is one SLOW airplane, but it seems to carry a lot of fuel. ;c)

Well, this latest update made me take a second look!

Mine were ordered from Banggood on March 23rd. a few weeks ago they asked me to wait until April 18th when they claim they will re-stock. I do not have high confidence in them however I know they do ship some of these and they are also very good a refunding quickly when asked.
-
Mine was processed through New York this morning ;D
that is very good news & would be reassuring to me as well , proof that its moving through the system.
-
I use this site for my overseas tracking numbers
https://www.17track.net/en
Well, Nick I ordered from same seller, and recieved same generic response. Mine, however, showed posted within 4 days, and movement through China to export location as expected.
Dealing with many countries, I know I've had experiences where items sit in customs, or export centers, for days or weeks. Tracking shows export country or destination country depending on which end it is sitting in.
Fingers crossed this isnt a banggood type deal. If so, as you said, paypal is good for refunds.

Yep Nick ... I have a tracking number too, though it is not interactive if you click on it. But the number shows on the page that has the four different tracking categories and shows mine has "departed country of origin" and "shipped by air", but it has been aloft for five days and hasn't made it to "arrived at destination country" yet. I never knew that airplanes could stay aloft for soooooooo long, especially without getting here yet.

Daniel, your tracking # may work on the USPS website. Also, many of these tracking systems will , in error, show a package as having arrived in the USA when it was still in a foreign port. This result is triggered by the exporting port's or courier's notice to US Customs that the package would be on it's way soon.

Thanks Mike (https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji482.png)
Fingers crossed mine will be going out with DHL as well then.

Was the listing you guys bought from marked with DHL, or does Jin just automaticly use this service for the more expensive engines?
Ask because i see that some sellers has DHL all over their listing, and others not.
No, I don't recall seeing anything in the listing. It just said Standard Shipping from outside US. I didn't see that DHL was the shipper until they contacted me. My other purchase on that same day (a P60 governor) shipped ePacket and I don't expect it for a couple of weeks.
-
Well... I have a tracking number, that shows it was processed through a facility in China on the 10th and on its way to a USPS facility ;D

One of the beautiful things about working with Jin is how quickly he processes and ships things. I won my auction last Friday morning (4/5) and it was just received at home this morning (4/11) - a day earlier than DHL thought. Shame that I have to work all day today - but tonight will be fun!

I finally gave up on my Eachine from AliExpress and took a refund - damaged in transit, restocking, will ship as soon as possible doesn't instill confidence. Back to Ebay.
-
I do agree completely with you Daniel and feel my Eachine purchase was a gamble just like Bangood, but PayPal is good with refunds and maybe if I pester the seller enough, it will get things moving...
-
These look just terrific engines, very nice Rog.
-
I believe that qualifies as a semi-generic response, as it addresses your original question to a minor degree, but also gives the basis for continued delay.
Just as another data point in this system, my engine has been in the air after "departed country of origin" for well over 100 hours now, but has yet to "arrived at destination country" and I suspect that it will continue same until the next production run is completed and distributed to the various selling outlets. BTW mine has also "arrive export exchange" four different times on three different days, before being "shipped by air", for the second time, over four days ago.
Meanwhile, prices have been going up on all sources, based no doubt on prices realized on eBay sales, so that the next run of these engines will likely "wholesale" to various distributors, if even supplied, at higher prices if/when they are completed and released, so the pricing that I may or may not have "grandfathered" in, may or may not be honored. If not honored, then the next excuse in line will be applied in as friendly a manner as translation allows.
Those who managed to get direct from Jin early on are the lucky ones indeed!!!
Clearly there were many different point source sellers who in fact had no inventory, but were selling this item anyway.
Just my $0.02 cents worth.
-
I sent the seller a message just for the heck of it, asking when it will be shipped and received this (It was purchased April 5th), not sure if this is a real message to me or just a generic reply...
Hello friend, it will be shipped today. Really sorry for the long wait, but this is a high value item, so our staff have to check carefully all the parts of the item before sending it out. We don't want it to have just even a scratch on it when customers receive it! Thank you so much we hope you understand for us!
Best regards!
-
I tried to order from Banggood and finally gave up as they never had the product to ship. Got a refund, and went shopping on Ebay. Ended up paying more ($335 plus shipping) in one of Jin's auctions, but the engine shipped quickly, and DHL is saying they will deliver it Friday......that would be 8 days from the auction close. I hope eachine has doesn't pull a Banggood to you. Best of luck with your purchase.
-
Have you received confirmation that they have shipped it yet?
No confirmation of shipping and estimated delivery of April 24th-May 6th. I see they have also raised the price by $20
-
I found the Eachine on ebay listed from $299 to nearly $400, I made an offer and got it for $295... seller wouldn't go any cheaper as he said he's already the lowest on ebay. Like you, I am hoping they are the same model and run just as well as all of them on the forum...

Hi Rog
Thank your for your instructions of use.
No problem to start by hand ?
Receive mine in few weeks by Banggood. Pictures of engine on Banggood : it is the name of
"Eachine".

Alan, I believe the engines named "Eachine" and sold by BangGood are the same as those we've purchased off eBay from Jin of Microcosm. All the silver looking ones are the same, but the blue ones are an earlier version and somewhat different.
My silver one starts easily by hand, turning clockwise on the wheel next to the brass gear train.
I hope yours comes soon from BangGood...they seem to willingly take orders, but actually shipping the engines is a different story. At least I hear BangGood is fair about refunding money if shipment is delayed too much. I too have a BangGood engine with the "eachine" logo on order...it was a gamble to see which got here first...Jin's machine came in 7 days and it's a wonderful piece of machining.

Great to see your engine running so well Rog, hope you manage to get the oil stains from your shirt!
Interesting to see you can get the large cans of zippo fuel where you are and the engine certainly runs very well on it.
Quite a few of these machines on the forum now!
-
Mine fired really easily too. Why do these things make you chuckle and grin when you first fire them up? My wife thinks it's the cutest thing going. She laughs when I crank it up. They kind of have the same feel good thing as a steam engine. Just cool to see a little engine acting like a big one.
-
Another Great review! Love the oil stains on the shirt
-
truly fun & addictive little engine Rog, thanks for the video....btw your on/off toggle switch is opposite of mine ....lol , the switch uniformity from the factory obviously wasn't a concern, so i guess its a crap shoot at which way is "on" when you get your engine, just look for the spark when flipping it over folks :)
-
That's truly great Rog ... I couldn't be happier for you!
-
Well, my little Hit and Miss arrived extremely well packed (just as seen in Bruce SPS video)...just took 7 days door to door via DHL. Very pleased with the rapid delivery and could not be more pleased with the engine itself.
- machine work is superb...roller bearings where needed, nice brass gear train
- though I checked each hex head screw...every one was snug, just like you would want it
- for fuel, I used Zippo lighter fluid and Marvel Mystery Oil in a 10 to 2 ratio...making up a total of 12 ml of mix in a syringe
- squirted syringeworth of fuel into the brass fuel tank, massaged the clear fuel line beneath to work bubbles out
- closed screw on top of carb by turning to the right til it stopped, marked that position, then opened it about 1/2 turn
- oiled all the moving bits with my standard pin, bearing and journal oil used on non-steam contact moving parts
- oiled the tip of a Qtip (cotton bud) with some lightweight oil branded ZOOM, and coated cylinder walls from the open rear
- grabbed the flywheel with the brass gear train attached and spun it firmly to the right while hold engine base
- it fired right up, first time. I fine tuned speed with the marked carb screw, making tiny adjustments
- ran it 20 minutes grinning from ear to ear...here is my YouTube video of tonite's first firing:

enjoy,
Rog
ps...if you don't already have a hit and miss engine (this was my first)...get one of these, you won't regret it
