Bruce, an impressive display to say the least...especially love that little sewing machine!
Rog
thanks Rog, I actually got pretty good sewing with that machine, I had over 2 dozen women (& a few guys) sew a chain stich with it over the 4 days. I had bought 3 yards of material & cut it into 3' x 6' swaths & taught the girls how to make a pouch that was useful to them.

I would love to come help you! But one of my favorite shows moved to the same weekend next year
Your also welcome anytime Nick. Every year I usually have a steam family boy who's family has a steam tractor @ the show and who's a little bored of life come stay with me for a few hours or the whole day & I teach them how to run a number of things so they can help me out, this year they came around...but they're a little older and out chasing the girls now 😉

I am amazed that you can keep all that going on your own while visiting with everyone at the same time! Very well done Bruce!! You put on a Great show!! 👏
Nick, you have put your finger exactly on the problem I'm having , this year especially I told my wife that I really thought I needed another helper. Ang helped out Sunday and that was a real blessing...but I was stretched really thin the other 3 days & Saturday was a bit stressful, even though I had signs everywhere about not running accessories without my supervision , I still had several people messing with my stuff without knowing what they were doing.😒

I'd forgotten how many creations you've made. Thanks for showing them in motion! Great video!

Over the top and beyond the ordinary in every respect!
An absolutely wonderful display of visual delights that ought to ignite the imagination of children of all ages ..... including my own!!!
Delighted to see your "original" workshop featured prominently in this display. As I recall, it is what you used to sort of introduce yourself when you first came onto a steam forum, so many years ago!
SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really impressive and everything works - I only miss the chicken roaster
Thanks for the video, Arnold :D

Now that's a real Miniature Land, excellent!

Hi Bruce,
Excellent display, I enjoyed your video very much. Many years ago I restored a Wilcox and Gibbs sewing machine for a museum, if memory serves it was a lock stich machine used by milliners.
Take care Tony.
Hi Tony , I had to look up Milliners (women's hats) in my research they were made for general sewing, the one I have is the industrial version & Yes they are a "chain stich" machine, meaning they loop the stich upon itself underneath with a special revolving hook below the fabric platform....no thread bobbin is used on these machines.

Wonderful display Bruce - perhaps the most interesting I've ever seen.

Very enjoyable display, great collection.

One more short day for the show, I had several hundred people through my little back room today, great crowd with a lot of participation by the youngsters.
