New Zealand made Cranko live steam O gauge locos
1945 - 1956
Donald Cranko first O gauge loco was a small twin cylinder asseen in the middle of hhe line up in the photo below.
It was short live and discontinued and replaced by the Mighty Atom ( right in photo )which is a single cylinder in cab design and a Mogul ( left in photo ) which is a bigger affair but still o gauge .
I considered mynself lucky to have all three.

There was rumours and pictures of a Tank loco and only 1 off them .
It was made for a good friend of Donalds who had about 12 Moguls .
A few years ago i made a purchase on TM of something steam and i have been buying from Mason ever since .
A fornight ago he contacted me and offered two Moguls and the Tank engine .
The Moguls are the two with 3 axles and the Tank is the two axle loco .
There is a mention and photo of it in the book Spring Spark and Steam and a couple of other write ups
Cheers
Dennis
