Very nice little engines. What is the maximum RPM full throttle?
Well, that is of course entirely dependent on the pressure/volume/load it is being fed/worked, so there is no defining upper limit per se. At some point it would no doubt either fly apart or lock up, but I for one am not about to go in search of those limits. I can assure you that in my experience, the RPM potential on these engines is pretty high, based only on what my ear tells me when running one free of load on moderate pressures in the 20-25 psi range.

Bonjour,
This machine is so famous that a great mechanic made a few replicas of it and called them "Tribute" :

Very nice John , as they said above , stellar runners. As of lately I've been looking at many of your German overtype steam engine videos.

Really wonderful little engines, aren't they!?!?
I liken them to a fine Swiss watch, with the eye appeal of brilliant jewelry!!!
It is just possible that I'm a wee bit prejudice perhaps. ;c)

Really runs smooth - what a nice engine!

Not exactly "new" anymore, and am a big fan of your YouTube channel, so i have admittedly drooled over this engine before...
But even so, i enjoyed watching this little mechanical marvel, just as much as i did the first time around.
Thanks for sharing John!!!
