I think for most folks, a good tube of SimiChrome or Maas may have to hold off the need to replate!

A good plater is also hard to find in Switzerland
and it is exactly as Gil wrote - I have an old Indian
Motorcycle from 1936 and they should make new chrome
to the exhaust - they polished the tubes as long till
they made a hole! I could trow them away.
All the small engine parts for Steam models are now
plated by my self...

The only 2 platers I have used are abismally slow. Both took 8 to 9 months and both ruined parts with their magnum force polishing wheels and the gorillas operating them.
I wouldn't recommend either of them.

I am looking for a nickel plater who can turn around a boiler in 30 days or less and do a decent job in the process. Anywhere in the US is OK so long as I can ship to them and they will ship back.
Bruce (SPS) has used a plater close to him (and me), but as seems the case, these folks can take many months to turn around a piece.
Any favorite, reliable and reasonably quick platers you have used???
Thanks,
Rog
