Anyone won anything at this auction? It was a nice auction with many bargains.
Someone paid 9,000 Euro + 24% premium + tax + Handling & shipping for this engine with a broken pump rod!

Brass, iron and steel, 4-pillar model, double-action cylinder, with 2 water taps, slide valve control, strong feed pump, working governor and flywheel with belt pulley Ø 19 5/8 in., overall height 34 3/4 in. - Good original condition, all parts are smooth-running. It’s a buyers market nowadays. I ended up with one lot, but had bids on a few.
As Arnold mentioned if one bid $1000 for an item, it will end up costing around $1600 including the 24% premium plus shipping & handling.

Today there was an Auction in Germany - they had a very nice model of a gasoline tractor and
some very nice steam engines. Some had a very low hammer price - but you always have to add
buyers premium and shipping/handling.

2-Inch Scale Working Model of an IHC Titan 10-20 Tractor
Based on the American original, manufactured by the International Harvester Company between 1915 and 1923, metal model, finished in grey with red spokes, water-cooled 2-cylinder kerosene engine, 2 forward gears, 1 reverse gear, power transmission with 2 chains to the rear wheels, spoked steel wheels, Ø front 6 in., Ø rear 9 ¼ in., eccentrically-driven oil pump, paraffin tank, water tank, length 23 in., width 9 ½ in., with disc plough attached to the front axle, very good condition, untested.
Starting Bid was 800 - final price 9000 Euros
