I've thought that maybe sticking to Roundhouse's locomotive boiler filling technique of filling all the way up and then removing 30 ml would work well for similar sized vessels.

Ok good to know.  I love mine but they only offer 20 min or less runtime

Being the scientific one that I am (yeah pull the other leg Jim :) ) I've worked out that after filling a Jensen boiler to just the top of the sight glass and THEN adding a further 150ml gives a nice long run.
