I like them too, very nice initiative!

...but i hate the fact, that almost no attention is put towards preparing for plating.
I rightfully do not know who bears the blame, might be Jensen themselves...or their nickleplater, all depending on the business contract.
But someone ought to buckle up, and especially so when it comes to their more expensive collector engines.
So very right Jan, I noticed on the Jensen #50 thread (another post) that the #50 in that post didn't look very shiney...more like stainless steel than nickel plating. I know Jensen has a industrial buffing/polishing area,  but with a one man operation I imagine Andy has no time for that now.
Bruce I think that you are probably correct about the time factor, Andy being the only one there.

I bought a 3” boiler, and I personally like the somewhat matte finish. I do understand that other people do not.

I wish they would have used the tube style sight glass on these

I just couldn't pull the trigger & buy one because of the extra cost.

Same here, not enough difference to justify.

They are nice ,& everyone I've talked to who owns one says they work well. I just couldn't pull the trigger & buy one because of the extra cost.

I like these retro Jensen boilers and steam valves.
