I actually meant to say PMR #7 instead of #8 .

I am running mine on 12 volts. I am using a 12 volt power supply, but it will actually run at a slower rate using the PM Research generator that is in some of the pictures . Microcosm says it will run on 4 to 24 volts . The higher voltage the faster it will run thus pumping more water.

I have been wondering for a few years how well those would work. I’m glad to see that it is working well for you. What voltage are you running it with?

A Microcosm electric feed water pump. It can operate from 4 to 24 volts. I run mine on a 12 volt plug in power supply. The higher the voltage you use, the more water it pumps. I like to use my boiler at full capacity, usually driving 2 engines at once , one of them a PMR #8. Together they use a lot of steam and water, and with a hand pump alone, I am pumping often just to keep up. I leave the Microcosm pumping constantly and it will almost keep up on it's own. Occasionally I have to supplement with the hand pump. This was a worthwhile addition to my boiler. I added the black motor case, because as it comes, it has just a silver colored motor . There is also a shot of my feedwater tank thrown in.
