How about a large coffee can. Cut a section from top to bottom of the width you want.
If you need it longer cut another one and join them end to end. They're already ribbed
so they'll be strong.

I am rebuilding / building a Wilesco Showmans at the moment, when everything is done this will mean the existing canopy is about 50mm too short requiering a new canopy made up..

Any thoughts on this, is a wooden one from plywood going to work - has anyone done this before alternitivly will have to roll a newone from sheet steel (if I can find someone who can do this for me)
