@Woe is me check out post #15 ;)
Thank you Nick for bringing this back up. I see several differences, probably changes over the years.
I hope you cleaned up the Overtype Bing so it looks as good as his little brother.

Great Haul.
What else was in the goodie box?
-
Good stuff, all! Congratulations!

Oh yeah, all of the above compliments. Same here. Really like those bricked up houses.
Can't wait for the videos. Get some rest and the Bull out of your system, I can wait.(https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji897.png)

That is a beauty! I have a feeling that having the firebox surrounding the boiler increases the steam production.
-
That one really is a true Beauty of the first Chop, and other than a protective layer of dust, seems in rather good nick there Nick!
I've always wanted one of those "bricked in" boiler type engines also, but I do have the remains of a Bing Monna that while not bricked in, does have a fully shrouded boiler, but it really isn't quite the same.
Wonderful engine you have there, helping to make that super long drive all the more worthwhile for you no doubt!

I've fired mine, I have one burner for three machines, and did have a rather "blazing" experience the first time. So I modified the burner in a manner that can be undone, thus originality is preserved. All I did was make a "tube" of fine brass mesh screen to cover the wick opening on the poker, but also packed the poker with a very tight wick to help slow down the wicking action a bit.
Oh yeah, and I also used some K&S brass tubing to be able to make the flame slot in the poker smaller.
The real key, as with most alcohol burners, is to not overfill it!!!

And another unicorn in that haul perhaps ..... do I see an original Jensen Proto-70 banjo type alcohol burner there in the box?!?!
There are a whole lot of those machines without burners in this world!
And we have a winner!! Was wondering if anyone would spot that, I almost left without digging through that box of burners.
I would definitely recommend "not" actually firing that burner without it being on a cookie sheet in the middle of a parking lot with a powder fire extinguisher close at hand...lol, I've had 2 and neither one was safe after the 1st minute.
I have fired one and the first time it made a hell of a bang 😂

Wow, Nick.... what a great haul...!!!
and Congrats for surviving 1/2 gallon of Red Bull, LOL

Well done Nick, is that the Bing 130/383 Poppet Valve that I see there; I have one in the mail somewhere………….. They are another 🦄
I believe that is the largest? This is the second largest, but I won’t complain about that either 😉

Well, after being up about 40 hours and driving 800 miles for 12 of the last 16 hours and surprisingly not having a heart attack after consuming a little Red Bull, I am ready for bed 😂 I love the hunt and meeting great people in this hobby with lots of stories! Okay, I know the Doll has the wrong chimney, but I can live with that 😉
