I built the horiz model- it was the most difficult build so far. Congrats on a fine job.
One thing that i thought made it more difficult was that the bluprints were for both the horiz and vertical and you had to constantly sort which one you were building. A seperate set of bluprints for each version would have helped a lot!

After several years of fiddling and frustration, I finally got the hit and miss mechanism to work properly!
These little engines are very sensitive to minor changes! Enjoy!

Very cool! What hits me is how much travel needs to happen on the exhaust valve, makes it far more obvious when it is firing and has a lot more motion for viewing. Very cool, excellent work!

Hi Everyone,
Here is the engine cleaned up and ready for the shows!
This was the most challenging of my engine builds to date.
it has a lot of very small parts (especially in the hit and miss mechanism).
A lot of fiddling and adjustments were needed to get it to run properly.
Now on to the next project!
