Thanks Nick and Quickj. I picked up 2 Bing O gauge live steam locos 2 weeks ago, will post pics soon. I plan to run these on the Highline track at the St Croix RR. Nick, see you soon at Iowa Heritage steam school. I have a RR buddy who is also attending the steam school, and may attend the August show in an effort to get his hours in for the MN license. He has a 1/2 scale Alchin traction engine of recent construction.
Let me know when you’ll be at St Croix RR, I have several Bing and Marklin O-gauge, along with Mamod and a Roundhouse Millie that I have never run on more than a small loop… and I still need to get their for my first time! I will be at Forest City on Saturday cutting wood, I know there wasn’t much left after the show last year! :D

Thanks for the link to Roger’s youtube channel, somehow it was one of the few that I am not yet subscribed to

Nick and everyone,
It was nice to see Nick at LeSueur once again this year.
I did not buy anything steam engine related this year, although I think there were many more engines available than the past couple of years. I was there on Friday, with intentions on scoping things out and then planning on returning Saturday for the serious buying (this didn't happen). On the small vertical engines, these are all owned and being sold by Roger Alexon from Florida. He also had 3 Dunbar popcorn engines for sale. Prices on the small vertical engines were in the 3K range.
Roger will be at Baraboo this coming weekend so maybe another chance for anyone that is planning on attending that swap meet. Also, you can see more of these engines on Rogers YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/@steamstuff/videos ).
I did find a nice complete Wilesco D16 engine in a box tucked under a table that the seller wanted $150 for. Had I gone back on Saturday, I may have bought it.

Can you share the pricing on those smaller vertical engines? I have always been interested in that size.
I didn’t even ask, he brings them every year, maybe @Quickj knows? Do you know that Baraboo swap meet is this weekend?

Thank you for the nice pictures -
the smaller verticals are very desirable
did you bought something?
I guess the twin is from a steam car?

Friday was very wet and muddy but not as bad as last year. We were up at 3:30 to get their by 5:45 and started the hunt in the dark at 6am. Unfortunately the steam engines we found were all the same as previous years, but we did bring a feed mill home. I also ran into member QuickJ a couple of times, wonder if he found anything good?
