I bought this old Weeden in 2013 off U.S eBay and it was some years till I discovered the slip of paper inside the burner.
A fellow steamer did some detective work and discovered that the person who signed the card was an Alfred Scerbo, born in 1919. Their parents were Italian immigrants from 1895 who lived in New York and his brother died only a few years after getting this engine for Christmas.
