Thanks for sharing, these engines really highlight how they were so elegantly and elaborately adorned with so many artistic details. Especially with so many of them displayed together in one place. Reflecting perhaps a very different perspective on technology compared to today. Beautiful!

This is an incredible site - never seen anything
like that. The Corliss engine in front - the
many flywheels in the hall - amazing.
Unfortunately it is located close to Chicago -
too far away for me.

You can buy tickets to attend their fund raisers. go to Sanfillipo Foundation web site. Be sure to read the event description and make sure it includes a tour of the carousel building at the end, which houses the steam engines. The event I attended was a gathering of Music Box Society folks.
