Well that makes one of us ;D

I've got a way to go before I get this running like I'd like it to be Bruce.

Glad you have it sorted Jim. You did a real nice job giving her a new paint job.

They have doubled in price haven't they!

Bonjour Jim,
Absolutely, Henry had to do it because of the valve leaks he had noticed.
I don't know how any quality control is done but three major issues on the same engine is unacceptable to my opinion and I pity buyers who don't have a competent friend.
I have had more or less issues with all my Chinese Hot & Miss engines, hopefully solved (thanks Gil ;) )so I have decided to stop buying any other one from China especially since the prices have doubled.
Unfortunately, who would sell these "toys" elsewhere ... ?

Bonjour Jim,
I am happy to see your engine finally running and I am just surprized by its speed.
This one is quite slower : https://youtu.be/Q91Ju0Peu2Q
I also had a lot of difficulties to start it (see my other videos), mainly because of the plug and the setting of the mix gas/air which seems furthermore to be modified by the ambiant temperature increasing with the run.
This one also had 3 major issues :
- Broken spark plug giving erratic spark
- Poor ignition timing
- Leaks at the valve seats

Raphael, did you try lapping the valves?

When you are sure you have the gears meshed just right, try punch marking two adjacent teeth on one gear and the one tooth on the other gear that goes between the first two, and you'll never have the problem again. ;c)
Just wish figuring out the 750 was that basic and simple. Hahahahaha
Are you using it on Auto? Even on auto you should be getting stellar images if your glass is up to the task of being able to resolve enough for the sensor.

Thanks guys.
It was my fault :( working on the engine before ever starting it I took the governor apart and it is has a cam gear on the back and without thinking I just put it back any old way and forgot about it. So the XXX amount of times trying to get it started was never going to happen.
At least now that it is running I can start making adjustments to s-l-o-w it down.

Doesn't seem to be "missing" much but otherwise is running strong.
What seems to have been the key issue preventing it running before?

On a temporary board and needs some fine tuning, but running now…..thank you for your help 🙌
