I have run across something that makes me believe that your #7 photo shows a Grizzly Industrial, Inc. kit model H8101 that was most likely built by the individual whose collection you are trying to identify. Grizzly Industrial is a manufacturer / distributor of mostly Chinese built machine tools for both metal and woodworking. They are also a supply center for luthiers and other craftsmen. The machine tools that they sell have definitely improved over the years, and are now actually rather good, especially for the money, in these current times.
Hello Stoker- Thank you again! We just found the manual for that model THIS WEEKEND, and you are correct! It's a Grizzly H8101, as you described.
We found a PM Research catalog (very nice. Lots of information and goodies in it) that he must have used for reference and purchases as well.
Next is to figure out values on these, as the intention is to sell them either as a lot, or individually. We'd like them to go to a good, appreciative home. Would be great if there is an interested party here, especially if they're willing to do a local pick-up.
I'm figuring next step is to put them up on the classified section. I'm open to PM's about value, possible purchase, etc.

Don't know if they still offer these kits, but a catalog from them dated 2016 has them listed as either fully machined, just needing light clean up, final fitting and assembly (H8102) for $199, or the H8101 kit that was just raw stock and plans that sold for about $90 as seen here:

I should add that the PM Research engines could have been purchased as finished engines, but they could also have been purchased as semi-finished (pre-machined) to be assembled, or as just a casting kit to be machined and assembled by the purchaser.

To answer your request for identifications on the engines you have posted photos of, here are answers for some of them:
1. PM Research #7 Twin steam mill engine
2. PM Research #1 1880's steam drilling engine
3. PM Research #4 Vertical steam engine
4. Unknown, possible home built single cylinder horizontal steam engine
5. Mamod TE1a steam traction engine, appears to be missing the "coal" scuttle back end
6. Unknown single cylinder horizontal steam engine with an unusual looking slide valve arrangement
7. A Stirling Cycle Beam Engine of uncertain manufacture, but there are many Chinese knock-offs of these currently available
8. Unknown Steam Beam Engine, possibly home built
9. Incomplete Weeden #123 with two Weeden Line-shafts and several Weeden accessories, along with accessories from Doll, Fleischmann and Wilesco
10. Self Identified, Mamod Minor 2

As for #8, you are correct, this was one that he had designed and hand built. I meant to follow up my post with that information.

Hi All-
As promised in my introductory post, here are some pictures from the collection of a family member who had passed away. Some great craftsmanship in the units that were built.
I appreciate any help with identification. We will also be looking to assess values (if/ where possible) as most all of these will be going up for sale (preferably locally).
I've been impressed admiring this collection, and wanted to share these images with all here.
