That's a cool engine!  Though I'd like to know about those Trains in the background ;-)
Hi Rich, Here is some info on the Baldwin Locomotive in 3.5" gauge.

https://www.officeofsteamforum.com/general-discussion/baldwin-0-4-2-live-steam-locomotive-3-5'-gauge-by-don-favell-(including-video-of/msg46001/#msg46001

The LNER 0-6-0 is also 3.5" gauge.

Both were built by my dear friend Don Favell who passed in May 2021 at the age of 89.

I was honored to be told he and his wife wanted me to have them after he passed.

He began construction of the 0-6-0 as a school project at age 16.

In this video, 3 minutes in, there is more about Don and his model engines.

Well done Gil.  Looks great and runs well.

A great Christmas gift to yourself.
Thanks, Charlie. Not quite a Christmas gift as I will likely sell it because I already have a real nice one like it.

I believe I saw that in person @ cabin fever a couple of years ago, I admired it then & I still do, you added a few more lovely touch's to an already outstanding machine.
Thanks, Bruce! I believe you did see it at Cabin Fever.

I will bring it there in a few weeks.

Last week I went on a road trip and had a nice visit with Doug and Chris.
I picked up a few engines along the way and this is the only one that followed me all the way home.
I spent some time cleaning and polishing and I think I've got it looking pretty good. I removed all the painted bolts a few at a time and polished the paint off them and put them back where they belong.

I must confess it was pretty clean to begin with.

These engines were originally made by the Perkins Windmill Company of Mishawaka, Indiana.
They were sold as a back-up to your windmill when windless.

Below is a video of it running.

Enjoy,

Gil
