I got this Marklin 4149/9 for Christmas's. I knew that the chimney base was disconnected but the seller angled photos so that the chimney base plate rusted out area was not visible. Overall I am happy with the engine but want to be careful in how to repair it. Do not want any rivets,JB Weld, etc. I ordered .5mm steel sheets to try to make another base plate and then blue it. Any suggestions welcome
