Doesn't the generator act as a flywheel to some degree in this case - the inertia smoothing out the power pulses and storing/releasing energy throughout the cycle?

Kinda cool! Where is the flywheel? Self starts, boiler house hides the beans, generator works as good as mine. Pretty smooth. A steam enthusiast- that's what matters. Thanks for the link Jim and Nick.
No flywheel is interesting isn't it Tim and being a twin....it just sounds nice.
