Very nice gil. You don't see many of those engines around. I have also found that a lot of my engines run better on nick Rowlands coil, and they run well off the 6v rechargeable gel batteries. I'm sure you'll have it looking new with a fresh paint job before long.

Runs pretty good, Gil. Nice acquisition.
Green looks ecologically friendly.
Actually the red could go too and I would like to re-do it in a darker red and have just one color.
All green would be nice too and a little darker green that what's on it now.
With the engine dark red or dark green, the flywheels could be black instead of same as the rest of it.

You've got to be happy with that ... runs great even before fine tuning!

A friend dropped by last Saturday with a few pieces he was helping a fellow downsize out of.
I was able to acquire this nice little Coles' Power Models Small Horizontal Hit & Miss Gasoline Engine
Since making this video a week ago I have changed over to a Nick Rolands electronic buzz coil. It works considerably better than the car coil on 9 volts. I didn't like it with 12 volts due to a larger spark than I like at the points. I adjusted the timing just slightly and stretched the springs a bit to slow it down a little and that will be another video.
At some point I will also make the green paint go away but that is a bit too ambitious a project for the near future.
Enjoy,
Gil
