Yes, I've seen that one before, and it is running nicely. Gil is a truly helpful soul and will always reach out to good people with good advice.
Raphael, please do not be concerned about producing your videos in your native tongue for your primary audience of French speaking hobbyists. Your obvious enthusiasm comes through just fine in any language, and your wonderful videos "speak" well for themselves.

Your messages warm my heart and motivate me to continue making videos.
Please know that many French people tell me that I am the only one they know to produce videos in their language and that explaons why they do not watch those from around the world because they do not understand them...
Generally, I try noww to think to add English subtitles, don't hesitate to tell me if it is useful/used and I can also add them now.
However, out of topic I have made at least a video in English after a fruitful help of Gil ;) (I definetely prefer real first names to nicknames) :

Though I can only understand the occasional word you speak, while the rest of what you say is unintelligible to me, I will simply say that your obvious enthusiasm comes through loud and clear, needing absolutely no translation!

Bonjour Tommy,
This single-acting machine has an original distribution by three micro grooves dug in the crankshaft for both directions of rotation and reverse.
Very simple and effective in principle, it unfortunately does not work with steam at this scale (at scale 1, this machine really existed) because the grooves are too small and the steam inlet condenses before doing its job of thrust, which explains why I did not film the steam test which turned out to be completely unsuccessful :(

That looks like a lot lighter engine than the other one,(still not as light as the hamsters) but lighter.
What a way to pass steam from one cylinder to another,and another. Very tight tolerances there. It will
run better when it breaks in and shifting will become smoother. Maybe a block with an adjustable stop in
front of the lever to dial it in. Beautiful job Raphael.

Hopefully, my hamsters are made of steam, we have to remain politically correct ;D
My concerns with these plants are their weight and their size.
The first machine alone weighs about 7 kilos and the second couple alone about 6 and all need big boilers
Currently, I have no plan of any hull able to receive them.
I don't know what the future holds for them, it's true that above all I like functional steam plants on the water or even on land.

Oh Raphael, you are so mean making those poor hamsters run for your enjoyment.
When they run in those wheels it's because they want to and they can quit when
they want to. Not to take you around the pond.
Nice set up, are you building a paddle wheel river boat to mount them in?
