Title: Re: Mamod Centurion TE 1313C Steam Engine running Blue Thunder Generator

Hi CB, I wouldn't want to change the original flywheel on the TE.
A smaller flywheel on the genny would be an easy thing to make.

Anymore load on the engine would have stopped it dead in its tracks. A lot of people comment how powerful these Mamod (Jensen :) ) TE's are, but I've never thought that they are. Most definitely more powerful than a normal Mamod though.

I like the production values. :)

But here is my 1 cent: I think a smaller pulley should be used on the generator or better yet a larger pulley on the engine. I never like running my engines at fill tilt without a load and even with thiscload on, the engine isn't loaded enough in my opinion.

Hilarious :)

The grandchildren are coming over later, this will make them scream with laughter when they watch Jan's clip.

That "Jensen" Centurion...

Well spotted Daniel, missed that completely the first time around

Jim, absolutely no insult intended! I love the movie...and even more now, being aware of that little blooper in there.
Please just say the word, and this (unlisted) prank will disappear.

Nice video Jim ... relaxing even though it is work that is being done ... just not me doing the work.

That "Jensen" Centurion TE is mighty nice as an auxiliary power source, which is how TE's were often used!

That's a nice pairing Jim - they work well together. A Centurion TE is definitely on my wanted list - just have to get past these hit and miss models.
