Nice Mike
Guess it wasn't a visitation day as it looks like significant work is afoot. Amazing to think they used to do all that masting a rigging work much faster than it gets done today, and they didn't have any of the modern power equipment in use today. Guess they actually knew what they were doing back then, and how to go about doing it, with just simple manpower!
Though I've never been there, and likely will never make it for a visit, I have always been quite taken by the vessel's history, and perhaps most especially her design and its history and significance. Being something of an amateur Naval Architect myself, there is much of fascination there. I do have a rather extensive library on this subject, as well as a minor collection of some rather cool artifacts.
I envy your visit, and actually getting to lay eyeballs on the Old Girl!!!
Thanks Daniel. It’s a special place to me. I still remember the first time I laid eyes on her when I was 5 years old on a Kindergarten field trip. It all came back today. A great day indeed.

The oldest commissioned ship in the fleet and she’s a beauty.
