Hi Bob & Daniel,
Geoff (Ozsteamdemon) made that Stuart governor for me from plans kindly supplied by Kevin.
The governor kit came with my Stuart beam engine, but hadn't been machined. Geoff sent me all the bits and pieces machined that he could
for me to mount it to the beam engines, but sadly my skill set disallowed me from completing the build. Geoff wanted me to send the beam engine
and governor down to him in Victoria, but very sadly he took ill.
Not having the skill set to get it working on the Stuart beam even though Geoff had done 90% of the machining for me, there is not even a distinct possibility of
getting ever working on the S50.
I do remember when I showed Geoff this S50 build, he was happy that I had made use of the governor in a faux state, but I could tell that he would have liked me to have finished
off the beam engine. Its a true regret of mine.
I think most would know how much Geoff helped and guided me in my endeavors to learn using the lathe and mill (I'd never touched either type of machine until they were unloaded
off the back of the delivery truck) he virtually gave me a long distance machining apprenticeship, something that I am so ever grateful to him for.
Not a day has passed that I don't mourn Geoff's passing, I miss him so much.

I don't think that it is functional Bob .... but I'd be willing to bet that there are plans afoot to make it so!
-
Very well constructed.
Is the governor functional? I can't see a connection to the steam supply....

Appreciated Philip and Daniel, thank you.
