It looks homemade to me but I'm no expert but those corner braces look homemade to me what a very unique engine I would love to have that to restore!!!

Yes - I believe it is home made - double excenters are common as it
was possible to control the filling of the cylinder - for example the
Rider system - see my engine below.
Your engine should be serviced/cleaned and oiled - then check the timing
of the valve and I am sure it will run.

Looks home built to me. Maybe there are separate intake and exhaust valves driven by the two eccentrics(?).

Never seen anything like that before .
Any more holes or fitting on the steam chest ?
Might need to remove steam chest covers and provide some photos of internals

I think this steam engine may be homemade.
I’m confused with the two eccentrics. Isn’t that unusual?  Have been unable to get it running.
Anyone recognize the maker? Date?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
