I very much enjoyed that selection Tony, as it "felt" just right with the train running.
Would simply like to posit that I do like to hear the train rolling down the rails as well, so a balance where both are well heard is best!

Nice video, Tony. The Hornby rolling stock looks nice on your railroad. I usually include a music background in my train videos with the sound balanced with the sound of the railroad. I have a garden railroad here on Fire Island (NY, USA). It's "G" gauge and small, but does entertain visitors particularly during our annual garden tour open house.

I bought a box of Hornby tin plate rolling stock on eBay. They were listed as being suitable for spares and restoration.

They were listed as being suitable for spares and restoration. For sometime I have been considering leaving some of my rolling stock at the Cardiff Model Engineering Society. To be used on their garden railway on public open days. This would save me having to transport stock back and fore. This purchase seemingly being a good way to start. I am not a collector, so, I am not interested in making them look as they would have originally looked. The toys were cleaned and where appropriate painted in not necessarily the original colour. The wheels were modified to run on Peco SM32 track and the couplings changed to suit other rolling stock. I ran out of Hornby plastic wheels to modify so some of the stock will either have to wait until I find more, or new wheels will be fitted. I have a lot of tinplate wheels but as yet not found a way of modifying them to run on modern track.
As usual I made a video of one of the first runs of this newly modified stock on my garden railway. As a bit of a change as I haven't done this before, I have added some music.
