Haven't done any of that yet and probably won't until tomorrow or so. I will say, the whole thing looks surprisingly nice for the price and just hope I still feel the same after assembly!

I am thinking of leaving the plastic peel sheets on the back wall, depending on where it actually gets located and what that background might look like.

As for the gloves, due to my hands/fingers deformities, I have great trouble putting most any kind or size of gloves on, especially heavy work gloves, which I really need to be wearing whenever doing most anything I always seem to find myself to be doing!?!?

Did you have fun peeling the plastic off??  :D  and how did the white gloves fit? 😂 I’m not sure my kids could even get their hands in them… I gave them the light strings to decorate their room  :D

Well Hell, I didn't even see the assembly video first time around!

That's okay, I may just have enough engines to use them both, one in the house and one in the shop. If I don't have enough small engines to fill them both, I definitely have plenty of minerals, pocket watches, brass HO/HOn3 engines, arrowheads, assorted artifacts and who knows what all else, to fill a dozen or more of these things! Not that I actually have room anywhere to even put the one I just got!!!   ;c)

Well now, Amazonly (that would be amazingly) I ordered one yesterday morning, and it arrived this afternoon!

My order said that it would be delivered on the 20th, which would be tomorrow, but they lied, and it got here in just a bit over thirty hours!!

This seems just about unbelievable, as I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and a few hundred miles from anything that would logically be considered a City!!!

Of course, I do now find that I screwed up, as I apparently didn't hit the correct button for the one with the wooden base and top. What has arrived has a white plastic base and top which at the time of ordering I wasn't even aware that was an option. Gives me an excuse to order another one, but I think I'll wait until Black Friday to see if there are any other discounts available then!

Also, a bit surprised to find a small plastic mallet included in the package, to aid in assembly I assume. Didn't notice that being shown in the listing either. Perhaps I should go back and review that listing, just to see what other critical info I may have missed!?!?    ;c)

Excellent presentation Nick.

Would you post the Amazon link?

They are currently 10% off. They are just acrylic, not glass, so I’m sure they can be scratched easily. You can get them in natural wood or white, from 2 to 6 tier. I went with 6 tier and just left off the bottom “step” to fit the larger/heavier engines in the bottom. They come in a flat pack box and assemble in a few minutes. The longest step is peeling off all the protective film while trying not to get fingerprints on it. Only buy one if you have very small pieces, see dimensions, it really is small!

The cabinet looks very nice, but it is what's inside that cabinet that truly makes the "scene" so special!!!

New Amazon display case and the reason for polishing up all my Peakes recently. Still have a couple Philcrafts and some LS-LOCs that I think I can squeeze in there…

And it’s USB plug so I can use batteries and display it with light at a show easily
