As I said, gotta love steam shovels.  Here are a couple of "models" just for fun.  I spent many a quarter on the skill cranes at the local carnivals and fairs when ever I could.  I was going to try to adapt the Buddy L to one of my live steam trains, but that would require some serious butchering to get the trucks and couplers right, and scale is just a little off, so I decided not to go that route. But I may just strap it to a flat car and go with that, I also have the dredge (clam bucket) crane.  As a 5 year old, a steam shovel was my first Christmas request. I did get one, but immediately hooked the bucket tooth into the loop of a rug and tried to pick it up and snapped a rivet, so that was the end of that.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]
