Thanks for the replies!
It's been a lot of fun running the steam engine, for sure. I'm expecting a dynamo with a light bulb soon and I have my multimeter ready to compare this steam engine output to the Sterling engine model.

A very warm welcome to the forum from the South Coast of New South Wales Austrlia.
The solid fuel tablets have a stink that I don't personally find tolerable, if windows are open and there is fresh air I would say that its 'amply' safe to burn them, but you will find the stink obnoxious.
In regards to the D6, its as Bruce mentioned above.
I would suggest for the time being just steaming up that D6 as often as you can and really enjoying it and getting to know it. Put some hours into steaming her up.
Take pics and videos.....we love pics and videos!
Enjoy the forum.

I'm a newbie and just got Wilesco D6.
I like the whistle, but was wondering if I can get the pressure gauge, like this one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/335561252790?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=335561252790&targetid=2299003535995&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9011562&poi=&campaignid=21203633013&mkgroupid=162035688435&rlsatarget=pla-2299003535995&abcId=9407526&merchantid=101685098&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAjp-7BhBZEiwAmh9rBUTWAIswC7CIquHpRudK5uFfSp4TtLozV8B9lwq0Hl334DTNiCjDYBoCrC4QAvD_BwE)?
Also, is there a way to combine a a gauge and a whistle on this same model?
All the gauges I've seen online list other models as compatible, never D5/D6...
Lastly, is it safe to burn the solid fuel pallets in the house, in terms of fumes?
Thanks!
Greetings & warm welcome from St. Paul In.
Re:your question, anything can be done with enough money & determination , people don't usually put much money or effort in this type of entry model steam plant. Although I've been known to spend way to much time & effort on a simple model. Long story short...it would probably cost more to do what your considering... Than what it would be worth.
