Very nice little original engine, glad to see you got it fixed and running on steam :)

Grand job on a grand engine.

Thanks guys, this is (I think) my oldest engine now and definitely a keeper!

I love the small reversible Bing oscillators.
Such a cool feature, to find on a small engine like this.
Well done resurrecting this one, and thanks for sharing Dave !

That's a nice engine Dave, definitely a keeper - you've done a good job fixing the major problems.

In need of a little work but I didn't pay a lot for it and it was complete other than a whistle handle and engine base handrail assembly. The steam pipe was broken off and the boiler loose of its mounts, also leaking from the front end cap join in a few places. As delivered:

A bit grubby but the litho base is good.
Some cleaning work undertaken, made and fitted whistle handle and a cobbled together version of the rail and stanchions, boiler leaks are mainly fixed, I have a minor weep from the seam just in front of the whistle but it doesn't seem to affect the running so it's being left as an 'age-related' feature. Here running today with one of the burner wicks capped off:

Like my other small Bings this is a delight to run, I was really pleased to add this one to my collection.
