Thank you for the very generous offer Bruce but I can't this year. Drive safe and have a great time.
Make a lot of money and leave some behind. I'll watch for the videos.
Thanks Tommy, maybe next time. I plan to do just as you suggested 😄

No I'm not going. I've never been there. All the stuff there for sale scares me.
To many deep pockets to contend with. I do like this Bowman but after Christmas,
paying taxes on three places, insurance on one, and dumping 2K into the truck.
I'm done for the next 5 weeks.
it's not like you think Tommy, the online auction is to the highest bidder, but the consignment area has many good...even "GREAT" deals, you have to scan the area every half hr. as it's a feeding frenzy & a lot of deals are struck while waiting in line with your items to the check in area. its many times bigger than the N.A.M.E.S show. if you make it down to St. Paul In. early Thursday morning you can ride with me; I have a room. (seriously)

hello fellow steamers.
Bowman M101 live steam engine. Largest model they made. Looks good, runs fine,
this came to me in pretty good condition, i have went completely through this like I do all my new (to me) steam plants. I ran it on air & it was Ok, then ran it on steam and found just a bit too much steam blow by on the mating services where the 2-oscillating parts meet, I file ground them & then used 600 grit paper & that improved things greatly, it gained a lot of power & speed. I made a knurled nut for the boiler overflow port & chimney stay support. the connecting rod was a little bent & I straightened that out. it runs really good now & I'm quite pleased with its performance.
Price is $300 + actual shipping to US only.
