A doctor is interviewing a new patient, a 65-year-old man.
“How old was your father when he died?” the doctor asks.
“Did I say my father was dead?” the man replies indignantly. “He’s 85 years old and in robust health.”
The embarrassed doctor then asks, “How old was your grandfather when he died?”
“Did I say my grandfather was dead?” replies the man. “He just turned 105 and is getting married tomorrow.”
“Why would a 105-year-old man want to get married?” asks the doctor.
“Did I say he wanted to get married?”
